The Separett Ejector Tank mixes urine with irrigation water in the correct ratio: 8 parts water to 1 part urine. At this ratio, the nutrients in the urine are in a form that plants can utilize without being harmed. Since urine contains most of the nutrients removed from the human body, diluted urine becomes an excellent fertilizer for spraying on crops, lawns, and shrubs.
The 50-liter capacity of the Ejector Tank is sufficient for holiday homes when the mixture is sprayed every 2–3 weeks. A float inside the tank indicates when the tank is full. When the Ejector Tank is full, it is connected to a standard garden hose, allowing water to mix with the urine inside the tank. This creates ready-to-use fertilizer that can easily be sprayed over large areas using the included 10-meter hose.
The Separett Ejector Tank is easy to assemble and contains no moving parts. For proper operation, the water pressure must be at least 2.5 bar (250 kPa). Higher pressure allows the mixture to be sprayed to a greater height relative to the tank.
When it is time to empty the tank, the Ejector Tank is connected to a standard garden hose using a 1/2” quick connector. The included 3/4” outlet hose is uncoiled and straightened. When the water tap is opened, water flows through the 1/2” hose into the ejector unit, which then draws urine from the tank through the suction pipe and feeds the mixture into the 3/4” outlet hose. Regardless of water pressure (minimum 2.5 bar), the mixture ratio always remains approximately 1:8. When the tank is empty, a slurping sound can be heard.
