Separett® Weekend Prime is designed for simplicity and minimal maintenance—an ideal solution for those who only need a toilet occasionally. Its compact and streamlined design is based on the same robust frame as the Separett Tiny, offering durability without compromising ease of use. Built with long-lasting materials that withstand both cold and warm climates, Weekend Prime is perfect for cabins, forest plots, boats, or off-grid living.

To ensure a hassle-free experience, all electronic components, ventilation systems, and additional features have been removed. The toilet functions manually and is only available with an internal urine container. Urine is collected in the built-in tank, while solid waste is gathered in a compostable biosack made of cornstarch, ready for composting. For two users, the solid waste container typically needs emptying once a week, and the urine tank 2–3 times per week.

With no electronic parts or built-in fan, Weekend Prime operates completely silently — ideal for peaceful, nature-close environments. To manage any potential odor, we recommend using compostable absorbent materials such as peat or sawdust in the solid waste container.

Separett® Weekend Prime is designed for occasional use and, like our other urine-diverting toilets, is based on proven separation technology. It effectively separates urine and solid waste, providing an eco-friendly sanitation solution that requires neither electricity nor ventilation. Unlike Separett Tiny, the Weekend Prime has a fixed upper section without a privacy screen, eliminating moving parts and making the toilet especially robust and easy to clean.

The toilet includes an internal urine tank, and for those who prefer external urine diversion, an internal urine outlet is available for conversion. Our product range includes, for example, the Separett Flexible Ventilation Hose (art. no. 1335–01), which is a suitable accessory for such modifications

Separett® Weekend Prime is a urine-diverting toilet that efficiently separates urine from solid waste. Urine is directed to a collection container, while solid waste is collected in a compostable biosack made from cornstarch—enabling simple and sustainable composting.

To ensure optimal performance, always use the toilet while seated so that waste is correctly directed to the appropriate compartments.

No Electronics

Separett® Weekend Prime contains no electronic components. This means the toilet does not notify you when the urine tank needs to be emptied, and it lacks a fan to actively manage odors.

Odor Control

Weekend Prime relies on manual odor management using natural composting materials. The urine-diverting design keeps solid waste dry, significantly reducing the risk of odors. We recommend using Separett Absorb or a compostable material such as peat or sawdust in the solid waste container to help absorb moisture and minimize any unpleasant smells.

To get the most out of your urine-diverting toilet, it's important to use it correctly. The following steps will help ensure effective use and maintain a fresh and hygienic toilet environment.

How to use the toilet

1. Always sit down when using the toilet

2. Toilet paper can be disposed of in the same container as solid waste

3. The urine bowl can be rinsed with a cup of water after use

4. We recommend the use of compost material in the solids bucket after each use. 

Sit slightly further back than usual to ensure proper separation of urine and solid waste.

IMPORTANT! Never dispose of burning or glowing objects in the toilet!

Toilet Placement

Separett® Weekend Prime has no requirements for room temperature and works in both cold and warm spaces. The toilet is portable and can be moved if needed, but for permanent installation, we recommend placing it on the floor against a wall. For added stability, it should be secured to the floor, the wall, or both.

Using an External Ventilation System

Separett® Weekend Prime doesn't have an internal fan but can be connected to a ventilation duct with an external fan. You’ll need to buy a suitable gasket, remove the plug from the back left corner of the toilet and connect the toilet to a suitable ventilation duct such as Separett Flexible Ventilation Hose (art. no 1335-01)

It's very important to remember to use an insect net and a ventilation cap at the end of the ventilation duct to prevent rain, snow, debris, insects, birds and rodents from entering the toilet.

Maintaining and cleaning your toilet is important to avoid odors in the toilet area. When maintaining your Separett® Weekend Prime, it is important to be thorough when cleaning. 

General Cleaning

Wipe the toilet both inside and outside using a non-abrasive cleaning agent, as abrasive products or scouring pads may cause scratches. For best results, use a lightly dampened or well-wrung cloth with a small amount of all-purpose cleaner.

Urine Container

The urine container should be cleaned after every third emptying or if there is an interruption in use. Fill about one-quarter of the container with water, close the lid tightly, and shake the container vigorously to clean the inside. Then, pour out the water.
