  • Product description

    Separett® Family has the capacity to handle the human waste from up to six people on a regular basis. It is possible to use the toilet directly one after the other, which means that during 24 hours Separett® Family can handle up to 40 visits. The toilet keeps track on the number of visits and adapts the incineration time to ensure that the waste product is always ash.

    Separett® Family has a user-friendly display with easy menu access where you can adjust everything from language to burning time. The display also announces when it is time to empty the ash pan when you need to perform a cleaning torque (cleaning of ash pan and smoke pipe) and when it is time for service (according to service intervals).

  • How the product works
    Separett® Family is an incinerating toilet that burns waste to ashes at around 550 degrees Celsius (1200 Fahrenheit). Like an oven, it uses a heating element to heat up the chamber. All moisture and liquids are evaporated and all solid waste together with the paper bag is incinerated to ashes. The time needed to reach 550 degrees depends on the amount of waste and liquids that is present in the chamber during the process. Only urine, solid waste and toilet paper may be incinerated.
     
    When no programme is running, and the toilet is in standby mode, the fan constantly operates at low speed. The purpose of this is to let moisture ventilate out of the toilet and to prevent cold air from getting in to the toilet through the pipe.
     
    When an incineration programme is running, the fan draws air through the incineration chamber to constantly add oxygen to the incineration process. This also enables hot air and smoke to flow through the pipe and out of the chamber.
     
    IMPORTANT! As long as the toilet is attached to the ventilation pipe, the power should be turned on. When the fan spins, it prevents moist air from entering the toilet. If the power is turned off, the toilet should be disconnected from the pipe and the pipe plugged to prevent moist air from entering.
  • User instructions
    Toilet visit
    1. Lift up both the lid and ring
    2. Insert the disposable bag
    3. Sit down on the toilet and use the toilet
    4. Push down the flush handle and see that the bag falls down as it should
    5. Close the lid
    6. Select an incineration program
     

     
    Emptying of ashtray
    The toilet will remind you when it is time to empty the ashtray after 50 uses. The ash can be spread in your garden as plant nutrients or be thrown away as household waste.
     

  • Maintenance and cleaning

    General cleaning 
    Wipe down the toilet both outside and inside with a slightly damp or well wrung cloth with a little cleaning liquid. Do not rinse the toilet with water either outside or inside. The incineration chamber and circuit board may be damaged.

    Cleaning the ashpan
    When the ash box has been emptied twice the message CLEAN ASH PAN WITH 1L WATER + BIG PROGRAM will be displayed. Confirm by pressing the middle button. Cleaning is undertaken in order to remove the crystals that are formed when urine has been evaporated by the incineration and for the toilet to be cleaned inside. Do the following:

    1. Take the ash pan out and empty it 
    2. Pour 1 litre of water into the ash pan
    3. Place the ash pan back in to the toilet
    4. Run the big program

     

    Software

    You can see your current software when you start your toilet or by selecting "info"

    If the version below doesn´t appear, we recommend that you update to the latest version. 

    To do this, follow these steps: 

    1. Click on the file below to download the update
    2. Open the folders up downloaded
    3. Save the update file name "cindi.hex" to a USB memory stick
    4. Turn off the toilet
    5. Connect the USB memory in the toilet
    6. Hold down the "confirm selection button" while starting the toilet
    7. Release the button when toilet software appears on the display
